Welcome to another season with GHRR on the historic and ever so peaceful Green Harbor River!


Here are the registration Steps all rowers must complete to help us stay safe and sustain GHRR.


Step #1: Complete the GHRR member / guest registration. (Click the Button below)


Step #2 Read "GHRR Reminders"


Step #3: Complete your insurance waiver. The button below will take you to that link.


Step #4: Submit Your Membership payment. Mail or ZELLE email: ghrrowing@gmail.com or Venmo

SupportAlways have enough help and ask for help handling equipment! Rowers are injured handling equipment more than rowing equipment!
On the DocksLaunching and docking: Leave room for other boats needing to launch or dock.
On the DocksLaunching and docking: Be aware of other rowers in the queue waiting
On the DocksLaunching and docking: Make foot stretcher adjustments in rack area with your boat in slings. This will avoid long launch times as foot stretcher adjustments are time consuming.
Cold Water Rowing When combined water and air temperatures are 90 degrees or less - exercise caution: only experienced rowers in small boats, carry a cell phone onboard, Row with a Buddy Boat, let someone know you are on the water and when you expect to return.
NavigationIf on the water with no other boat - Carry a cell phone for emergency contact.
NavigationSTAY AWAY FROM THE MIDDLE OF THE RIVER... Stay in the CENTER of YOUR lane . It is the safest place to row and you will find straight navigating / rowing lanes.
NavigationOn the water - KEEP RIGHT and IN YOUR LANE - 90 DEGREE Lane Crossings- do not Sit in High Traffic Areas
Dock LandingApproach Dock from CENTER NORTH SIDE of river, AIM RIGHT HIP for dock corner - Protect Boats from Rubbing on Docks
PrivatePrivate Boats & Oars are PRIVATE
Boat CleaningClean Scum Line both sides - If Hull is particularly scummy - Prerinse with clean river water, Use fresh water whenever possible for cleaning, Clean seat tracks with Vinegar mix
BoatsTie-Down Straps - Buckle OFF the Boat, Pulling DOWN on the Buckle
OarsUse Club Oars, Bungie together (Blades & Sleeves) Blade curves facing
