New Customer Stories
  • Banking and Finance. India

Federal Bank is a leading private-sector bank in India. It was eager to move from an on-premises environment to better deliver modern services. Bank leaders also wanted to decrease manual processes and boost security. As a longtime Oracle Database customer, the bank decided to migrate to OCI’s Oracle Autonomous Database with a built-in low-code application development framework, Oracle APEX. After implementation, Federal Bank cut application development time by 70% and improved security to help address compliance regulations. The bank now builds applications quickly, automates workflows, and optimizes costs, which improves overall efficiency and customer experience.

“Oracle APEX with Autonomous Database on OCI allows us to be more agile—keeping our applications compliant with frequently-changing banking regulations.”

Ritin Srivastava, Vice President – IT, Federal Bank

The Story of the Month
  • Carlos’ career in Oracle began in 2016, marking the start of an exciting and transformative chapter. From day one, he was immersed in the company’s diverse product ecosystem, gradually building a deep understanding of its offerings. The early years were a time of learning and adaptation, as he navigated the intricacies of Oracle’s portfolio. While Carlos gained valuable insights, it wasn’t until 2019 that his career took a truly pivotal turn.

In 2019, Carlos joined the APEX development team, a dynamic and innovative group that had been making waves for a while but was still somewhat a small bunch of highly talented people. It was here that he first learned how to use APEX, a groundbreaking product that would redefine his professional focus. Instead of thinking about the technical complexity of building apps, Carlos was learning how to transform ideas into robust and escalable apps with almost no code.

One of the most rewarding aspects of his role has been engaging with the vibrant Oracle APEX community, both within Oracle and beyond. Through countless interactions with users, developers, and enthusiasts, Carlos gained invaluable insights into how the product is being utilized in real-world scenarios. These conversations have not only deepened his understanding of Oracle APEX’s capabilities but also highlighted areas for improvement, driving innovation and refinement. The feedback and stories shared by the community have been instrumental in shaping his perspective and fueling his passion for this product.

Today, not only does he brings value to the Oracle APEX product itself, but Carlos has the challenging task to lead and mentor new team members as they forge their own path in Oracle and the team. Carlos constantly finds himself learning a lot from his directs, making this experience much more interesting and fullfilling.

Carlos looks forward to the challenges that come next for APEX, hoping to be part of its continuous growth.
