Important Changed Behavior

  • Page Designer Change for Region Attributes - In APEX 20.2, we have made a change to how you edit a region's 'Attributes' and 'Printing' properties, in Page Designer. Prior to this release, these properties were available to edit by selecting the relevant region's sub-node in the Rendering Tree on the left of the page, then the Property Editor would display the properties for the current selection. In APEX 20.2, in an effort to simplify the editing experience, you will no longer see the 'Attributes' and 'Printing' sub-nodes in the tree, instead you simply select the region, and then the 'Attributes' and 'Printing' (if appropriate) tabs will appear in the Property Editor next to the region's main properties.

Documentation

The 20.2 documentation is not yet available, so the Documentation links on the upgraded instance intentionally do not work currently. Documentation will be available when APEX 20.2 goes production.

Log Information

Activity Logs, User Access Logs, Debug Logs and Mail Logs are not, and have never been, migrated into a new version. Such log information that was available prior to the upgrade to APEX 20.2, is no longer available. This is expected and intentional behaviour.

Deprecated Features

  • Legacy AnyChart charts are deprecated in APEX 20.2, and will be removed in APEX 21.1.

Desupported Features

  • Internet Explorer 11 is no longer supported.
  • Creating new Legacy Tabular Forms using the Create Page Wizard or Page Designer is desupported. Existing legacy tabular forms continue to work.
  • The PDF Export option of the Calendar component (which has been deprecated with APEX 19.1) is now desupported and not available any more.
  • D3 chart plug-ins are no longer supported, and the associated D3 JavaScript libraries are no longer shipped with APEX 20.2.

Legacy Features

  • WebSheets by default are not available in the create application wizard. Websheets already created will continue to function.
