This demonstration shows a simple case of importing external data into the Siebel database. It starts with the Siebel client to show where the data will be displayed; uses Siebel Tools to determine the source table and column and the EIM table; uses the EIM table report to identify the EIM columns; uses SQL to insert data into the EIM table; uses the Siebel client to submit the EIM job and inspect the results; and finally uses SQL to verify the results.

A good introduction for those who want to learn how Siebel performs data imports and exports or mass delete through batch jobs. Further training is needed in addition to perform it technically, but the training keeps interesting for IT architects, managers or other people working near Siebel batch interfaces experts.

Its a good one for a beginner. We would like to see a Demo with a full fledged EIM Job which shows us to load Multiple base tables such as Marketing List Administration Applet or Account List Applet in Account Home page. Still, an good effort has been taken.
