Oracle Communications Services Gatekeeper - Course

  • The Product

    Oracle Communications Services Gatekeeper provides the infrastructure for opening up the operators telecom network for third-party applications. Services Gatekeeper also provides the infrastructure for administrating the relationship with service providers and maintaining the service level agreements.

     

    The Course

    This Services Gatekeeper course is a self-paced, offline course. Currently, only the course practices for setting up the core environment are available. The practices are provided in a PDF file and include step-by-step instructions. With its detailed, hands-on tutorials, you will walk away with a complete environment, suitable for prototyping and testing. The lessons specified in the practices file will be provided at a later date.

     

    The Practice Environment

    The practices use two virtual machines that you create. The software that runs the virtual machines is Oracle VM Virtual Box. You need to have administrative rights on the machine to be able to disable or reconfigure any local firewall or CPU-intensive background processes, if necessary. The virtual machines require a laptop that fulfills the following specifications:

    • Operating System: Windows, Linux, OS X, or Solaris
    • CPU: Preferably a dual core, at least 2 GHz
    • RAM: At least 8 GB of RAM
    • Hard Drive: At least 15 GB of free space

    The Audience

    The audience for this course are application developers, system architects, and integration developers with basic telecom knowledge who want to understand Services Gatekeeper.

     

    Prerequisites

    This course requires basic telecom knowledge. There are no other mandatory prerequisites for this course.
