Continuing in the series on extending Oracle Sales Cloud with PaaS applications, this course begins with the use case for writing a custom application for Mobile clients, and why you would need to translate SOAP calls and messages to REST calls. Next, the representational state transfer architectural style, or REST is presented, as well as how it is different from SOAP. The third lesson, looks at a simple Java application that receives a REST call, and makes a SOAP call to Sales Cloud, called a Facade.Finally, additional integration patterns that can be used with a REST facade are presented.
