This is the second in a series of videos, that introduces the new My Oracle Support Platform. It covers how to complete your profile setup. Your profile enables others to know who you are. It covers updating your profile and privacy settings, preferences and how to add your avatar.
The most common question has been: Why can't I have my old user name?
Answer:
By default the OTN community names and the MOSC community names where merged when possible, and this caused some duplication of names, therefore some users will now have to add a letter of their surname to their first name to create a unique user id. In addition for users that had their full names, due to security concerns your name was replaced with userXXXX and you can update this to your full name if you wish.
